Blade Education, incorporated in 2007, is an asset-locked not-for-profit company based in Southend-on-Sea City that has a track record of working with communities to find new ways to tackle social issues, experience heritage and combat disadvantage through innovative creative projects. Our team believes passionately in the opportunities offered by lifelong learning, especially outdoors, alongside building bridges between older and younger generations while learning from each other.

Making Care Fair is holding the first SE Essex LD and SEND hustings and inviting local councillors and candidates standing in the May 2nd local election to join our meeting with local people who would like to know what they are going to do for the LD and SEND communities if they are elected.
The event is being held at the Highlands Methodist Church Hall on Sutherland Boulevard at 11am on Thursday 25th April.

CTWOW at the Southend
Film Festival
Blade Education is excited to announce that the City that Walks on Water Film has been selected for screening at the Southend-on-Sea Film Festival 2024.
The CTWOW Film is a recorded presentation of the City That Walks On Water Promenade Performace
that was brought to a wonderful audience by the team of local actors on Southend Pier in September 2023.
Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund the whole project brought together stories from Southend's history taking in some of the most important times in our heritage from the inception of Southend Pier in the 1820s to 2023. For more information about CTWOW please see the website at www.ctwow.org.uk
The Southend-on-Sea Film Festival screening will take place in the historic Ballroom of the Park Inn by Radisson Palace Hotel at 12pm (midday) on Sunday 9th June.
The CTWOW Team will be there and we hope you can join us!
